NOTICE OF RACE

 

  • The Championships will be governed by the ISAF Racing Rules of Sailing 2009-2012, the class rules and the sailing instructions.

 

  • The classes to race are as follows:

    Laser Standard
    Laser Radial
    Laser 4.7
    Optimist
    Optimist Green
    Topper Taz
    Topper Topaz

 

  • All sailors must be members of the Barbados Sailing Association or the Barbados Optimist Dinghy Association.

 

  • Registration will take place during the briefing to be held on Friday, 9th September at 5.30pm in the Club House of the Barbados Yacht Club. All competitors must be registered and entry fees paid before competing.

 

  • No race will start before 9.30am on race day. The race committee will attempt to run a minimum of 5 races for each class on each day. No race will start after 3.00pm.

 

  • The schedule of the races is as follows:

    September 11th and 25th  
    October 9th and 23rd
    November 6th

 

 

  • The LOW POINT SCORING SYSTEM will be used. Medals will be presented to the top three boats in each class for each day of racing. Prizes will also be given for the overall top three boats in each class at the conclusion of the Championships.

 

  • An entry fee of $50.00 per 1 person boat or $80.00 per 2 person boat is to be paid upon registration.
